New CD Release!

POSTED ON May 13, 2020

LP And The Vinyl’s debut album, Heard And Seen, released on Origin Records April 17, 2020. The album features original arrangements of music by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, David Bowie, and Oasis, as well as two of the group’s original songs, and jazz standards. The music was recorded over a span of two days at Tritone Recording in Los Angeles. Commenting on the recording session, pianist Danny Green said, “We set out to document a mix of our intricately arranged material, with more spontaneous, on the spot arrangements. We had so much fun experiencing the unfolding of the unknown as we recorded these pieces, and we are so happy to have captured that same organic feel that comes so naturally in concert, but doesn’t necessarily always happen in the studio setting.”

Please visit LP And The Vinyl’s music page to download your copy of Heard And Seen (set your own price), or if you would like to purchase a physical copy, visit Origin Records.

“From tight arrangements to free-wheeling improvisations, this telepathic trio evolves into an equally intercommunicating quartet with Leonard Patton. If there is a group worthy of special attention and reintroduction in jazz.”
–Travis Rogers, Jr., The Sentinel

In the meantime, please check out a replay of our Virtual CD Release Party. We live broadcasted a discussion on the album hosted by Vince Outlaw of KSDS Jazz 88.3, and debuted videos from the recording session.
